HP announces upgraded ProLiant MicroServer models powered by AMD Turion N40L

HP Proliant MicroServer

Good news to those interested to join the gang with HP MicroServer. HP is launching updated version of this popular server with basically upgrades in hardware inside the server. The outer look will still be maintained which is fine with me as I am very satisfied with the current design.

CPU has been upgraded from the original 1.3GHz dual-core AMD AthlonII NEO N36L to a newer and better performing 1.5GHz dual-core AMD TurionII NEO N40L.

Models Processor Memory Harddisk Drive Others
Old HP MicroServer 1.3GHz dual-core AMD AthlonII NEO N36L  1GB ECC DDR3 1 x 160GB
New Entry Level 1.5GHz dual-core AMD TurionII NEO N40L  2GB ECC DDR3 1 x 250GB
New Higher Level 1.5GHz dual-core AMD TurionII NEO N40L  4GB ECC DDR3 2 x 500GB SBS 2001 Essentials
